Privacy and email policy

The short version: we ask for an email address in one place, we use it to send a newsletter about GLP-1 pricing in Canada, and you can leave from any email.

What we ask for

There is one place on this site that asks for personal information: the provider match quiz. To see your result and receive a copy, you give us an email address. Alongside it we keep exactly two things:

The quiz asks five questions. Only your province leaves your browser. The medication you asked about, whether you have a prescriber, what matters most to you and where you are in the process are all used to work out your match on your own device, and then they are gone. We have no reason to hold what medication you are trying to get against your email address, so we do not.

We do not ask for your name, your date of birth, your health card, a diagnosis, or anything else.

Joining the newsletter is the trade

We want to be plain about this, because the quiz used to say something misleading. Giving us your email at the end of the quiz subscribes you to our email newsletter. It is not a single one-off message. The newsletter covers Canadian GLP-1 pricing changes, new generics reaching pharmacies, and provincial coverage decisions, and it goes out when there is something worth sending rather than on a fixed schedule.

Every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. You can also email support@semaglutidecanada.com and we will remove you. You never have to give a reason.

Where your details go

Your address and quiz answers are stored in Kit (formerly ConvertKit), the email service we send the newsletter through. Kit is a United States company, so your details are processed outside Canada and are subject to United States law. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to the pharmacies, telehealth providers or manufacturers written about on this site.

Analytics and what the site sees anyway

Like most websites, this one uses analytics to understand which pages get read. We run Google Analytics and Datafast, which record things like the page you viewed, the site that sent you, your approximate location and the kind of device you are on. That is separate from the newsletter and does not identify you by name.

Pricing on some pages changes depending on your province. That works by reading the region Cloudflare attaches to your connection as the page is served. It is used to pick which version of a panel to show you and it is not stored anywhere or attached to your email.

Links that earn us money

Some outbound links on this site are sponsored or affiliate links, and we may be paid if you sign up through them. Clicking one takes you to that company, and what they collect from that point is governed by their own privacy policy, not this one. Our methodology page sets out who pays us and how that is kept separate from our scoring and the prices we publish.

Getting a copy, or getting deleted

Email support@semaglutidecanada.com and ask. We will tell you what we hold, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. There is no form to fill in and no charge. We aim to answer within a few days.

This page is not medical advice

Nothing on this site is medical advice — see the medical disclaimer. Please do not send us symptoms, prescriptions or anything else about your health. We are not a clinic and we are not set up to hold that kind of information.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date below moves. Last reviewed September 20, 2026.
